Peralta Associates was founded in 1990 as a training and consulting firm, resource center, and consortium for professionals in the intercultural and diversity fields. We have an extensive network of specialists that can develop programs and solutions to meet your organization's needs.
Marcella Simon Peralta has been involved in the field of intercultural communications for the past 15 years. She has been an instructor of Cross- Cultural Communication at the School of International Service at American University, and has also taught International Management, Cross Cultural Management, Managing Multicultural Teams, and Managing in a Culturally Diverse Organization in the business schools of George Washington University and The University of Maryland University College.
Ms. Peralta was Director of Graduate Career Services at the Kogod School of Business, American University and prior to that was the Director of Graduate Career Services at the School of Business and Public Management at George Washington University. She was also a career consultant at Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
Ms. Peralta has considerable experience in developing and delivering cross cultural and diversity training programs to government agencies, community based organizations, and corporate clients. Ms. Peralta was also a training officer for Meridian International Center in Washington, DC, a sales and marketing representative for DC Heath Publishing, and served as a Foreign Service Officer for USIA in Latin America.
Ms. Peralta holds a Master of International Management from The American Graduate School for International Management (Thunderbird) and a M.ED in instructional design and educational technology from George Mason University. She is of bicultural heritage (US-Costa Rica) and has lived in four countries outside of the US (Costa Rica, Malaysia, Panama, and Greece).
